+ Today we will visit some of Kathmandu´s most important religious sites (Swayambunath, Bouddhanath Temples). After lunch we will visit the Durbar Main Square in Kathmandu and if we are lucky we can get a glimpse of the Kumari Princess.

+ We will start this day with a visit to Bhaktapur – “a city of culture”, as this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site is also called. Here you will be able to see Newari´s art and architecture with some sites dating even all the way back to the 15th century.

+ Prepare yourself for one of the most unforgettable flights! On our way to Paro we will be able admire some spectacular views that will take your breath away. After arrival we will visit the ruins of the Drukgyal Dzong.

+ The day begins with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten (1974) built inhonour of our late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk and the Dupthop Lhakhang one of the few surviving nunneries in Bhutan. We then visit the National Library, stocked with ancient Buddhist manuscripts, and the Painting School where traditional art is still kept alive through instructions in the art of painting Thangkas (sacred Buddhist religious scrolls). After lunch we drive to the Traditional Medicine Institute where medicines are prepared according to ancient practices. Other highlights include a visit to the Tashichho Dzong, seat of the national government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan). We drive to Simtokha Dzong; the oldest Dzong of Bhutan built by Shabdrung in 1627 and finally visit the Handicrafts Emporium followed by shopping for souvenirs in the shops of Thimphu.

+ After breakfast drive to Gangtey. Enroute sightseeing in the valley ofWangdiphodrang, with visit to Wangdiphodrang Dzong (from outside) built in 1638. Legend relates that as the people were searching for the site of the Dzong; four ravens were seen flying away in four directions. This was considered auspicious sign, representing the spread of Buddhist religion to the four points of the compass. The Dzong is situated at the confluence of Mo Chu and Tang Chu rivers. After sightseeing we will drive further to Gangtey. While in Gangtey, we will visit Gangtey Gompa Temple and explore Phobjikha valley, famous for the Black Necked Cranes during winter.

+ We will start the day with a peaceful morning in Gangtey, a picturesque valley known for its pristine beauty andcultural richness. After breakfast, we will take a brief stroll through the valley to admire its stunning landscapes, dotted with traditional Bhutanese homes and lush farmlands. We will also visit the Gangtey Monastery, an important spiritual site perched on a small hill overlooking the valley. This 17th-century monastery is not only a sacred place for locals but also a key landmark in Bhutanese history. Later we start our journey back to Thimphu, a drive of approximately 5 to 6 hours (around 135 km). The route offers spectacular views of the Himalayas, dense forests, and quaint villages. Along the way, you’ll traverse Dochula Pass (3,100m), a high mountain pass adorned with 108 chortens (stupas). We will stop at the pass to take in the panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and enjoy the serene atmosphere. As you descend towards Thimphu, the landscape transitions into vibrant valleys and bustling towns. We will wrap up your day with a traditional Bhutanese dinner, reflecting on the scenic journey from Gangtey.

+ We begin this day with a scenic drive from Thimphu to the picturesque Haa Valley, a journey of approximately 3hours, covering 115 km. The route takes you through the stunning Chele La Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan at an altitude of 3,988 meters. Pause at the pass to soak in breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, including Mount Jomolhari and Jichu Drake, as well as panoramic vistas of Paro and Haa Valleys below. On reaching the Haa Valley, we will explore its serene landscapes and rich cultural heritage. We will visit the ancient temples of Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple), both steeped in fascinating legends and spiritual significance. After a traditional Bhutanese lunch in Haa, we will embark on a 2-hour drive to Paro.

+ We will begin this exciting day with an early morning hike to Bhutan’s iconic landmark, the Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on a cliffside at an altitude of 3,120 meters, the monastery is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Bhutan. The trek starts from the base camp (approx. 2,350 meters) and takes 2 to 3 hours uphill through lush pine forests and rhododendron blooms, depending on the season. Along the way, you’ll encounter viewpoints offering spectacular glimpses of the monastery clinging to the rock face. Upon reaching the monastery, explore its sacred halls, prayer rooms, and intricate murals while absorbing the tranquility and spirituality of the site. After descending, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Spend the afternoon exploring Paro town, visiting the National Museum or the Paro Dzong, and shopping for local handicrafts. Return to your hotel for a restful evening.

If you cancel until 60 days before the trip you will lose your deposit.
Cancelation between 60 and 15 days before the trip is equal to losing 50% of the value of the trip.
If you cancel less than 15 days before the trip you will be charged 100% of the trip value.
In case you want to change dates of your trip you can do it until 60 days before your original trip.
To enter Nepal, you will need a visa that can be acquired at the airport and the procedure is quick and simple.
